Mitch Adams Endorses Austin Reeve Jackson for 114th District Court Runoff

TYLER - Less than 24 hours after the Republican Primary election, Mitch Adams, the third-place finisher in the race for Judge of the 114th District Court, endorsed Austin Reeve Jackson in the runoff election. Together, Jackson and Adams collected over 16,000 votes, almost 60% of the total vote.

“Throughout my campaign, I stressed the need for experience on the bench. Of the two remaining candidates, Austin Reeve Jackson is the only candidate who has the experience necessary to be effective on day one,” Adams said. “Attorneys who practice in this court know it is a predominantly criminal court, and we need a judge with criminal law experience. Reeve has my full endorsement, and I ask my supporters and the people of Smith County to join me in voting for Austin Reeve Jackson,” he continued.

Adams is a Tyler attorney who has over 20 years of courtroom experience. He has tried over 40 cases to a jury, and in the past year has tried more cases in the 114th District Court than any other lawyer.

“Mitch Adams is a well-respected attorney and a man of integrity. I am honored to have his support in this runoff,” Jackson said. “Mitch ran a clean and respectful campaign focusing on the issues in this race, and the voters clearly responded that experience matters by supporting our two campaigns with almost 60% of the total vote. I want to take this opportunity to thank Mitch for the valuable issues he brought forward over the last several months. I look forward to continuing to meet residents across the county to hear about their concerns and priorities for our court system,” Jackson concluded.

The runoff election will be Tuesday, July 14th.
