Jacksonville Man Sentenced to 35 Years for Fatally Shooting Woman at Tyler Daiquiri Shop in 2021

On April 21, 2023, in the 114th District Court, Judge Austin Reeve Jackson sentenced Jaderick Willis to 35 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to the murder of Tylsha Brown, who was visiting a Tyler Daiquiri shop in 2021 for her birthday. The incident occurred on June 25, 2021, when a fight broke out in the parking lot of New Orleans Flavor Daiquiris, and several shots were fired into the restaurant, resulting in the death of Tylsha Brown. Jaderick Willis was arrested after turning himself in to the authorities.

Tylsha Brown’s sister, Chalandra Harris, delivered a statement shortly after sentencing where she confronted Jaderick Willis and said “at the end of the 35 years, I hope you are haunted by the face of my sister and myself.”
