Tatum Man Convicted of Murdering Missing Tyler Woman Gets Life in Prison
October 03, 2024 - Tyler, TX - Jesse Lee Williams of Tatum, Texas, was sentenced to life in prison in Judge Austin Reeve Jackson’s court for the murder of Paula Belonga, who disappeared in April 2023. Belonga was last seen on April 7, 2023, when she left her apartment complex in Tyler. The verdict followed presentations of digital evidence, including phone records and internet activity. Belonga’s body has not been located. Despite the absence of Belonga’s body, the jury found Williams guilty. Williams will be eligible for parole after serving 30 years.
