Jacksonville Man Arrested on Child Grooming Charge in Undercover Sting

August 26, 2024 - Tyler, TX - Andrew Michael Holmans, a 38-year-old man from Jacksonville, Texas, has been arrested and is being held in the Smith County Jail on charges related to child grooming and online solicitation of a minor. Holmans allegedly engaged in explicit online communication with an undercover agent posing as a 15-year-old girl, sending graphic images and videos, and attempting to arrange a meetup in Tyler. He was arrested on August 22 and is currently held on bonds totaling $1.5 million. The arrest warrant was issued by Judge Reeve Jackson of the Smith County 114th District Court.
